Use Advanced Custom Fields PRO images and galleries as thumbnails in lists!
Version of “Ultimate Post List Pro” (UPLP) 9.9.1 supports the PRO version of the popular plugin “Advanced Custom Fields” (in short: ACF PRO, see ACF PRO website in a new window).
After you have created an ACF PRO image field or ACF PRO gallery field on the ACF PRO admin page you can set those fields as the source of the thumbnail on the list edit page. It does not matter whether you set the return value of a field as image, image ID or image URL: UPLP takes them all automatically.
That gives you a great flexibility in selecting which image is displayed at each post item.
From that version on you can choose the thumbnail from either the featured image, the first post image, a default image, the author’s avatar, the image of Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) or the image and first gallery image of Advanced Custom Fields PRO (ACF PRO).
If both ACF and ACF PRO are active on the same WordPress installation UPLP uses the ACF PRO plugin.
